Hosting a Chamber event is an excellent way to highlight your business or organization. It provides an opportunity to showcase your space, introduce your team, demonstrate what you do, and offer tours or activities. You can also feature any refreshments or food you provide. This event allows you to connect with the local business community, expand your reach, and attract potential customers and supporters.

The Business Exchange (TBX)  is our marque monthly networking event. It is a chance for the business community to gather and network as well as build relationships and ultimately, have some fun! This event is always the first Tuesday of the month from 4pm-6pm.  
​      Requirements to host:  

• Be able to host 75-100 attendees with clear sightlines to the speaker 

• Parking at your space, or nearby, for guests (75+ vehicles)  

• Provide some refreshments for guests  

ChamberAM is our monthly morning networking event. This year, we are in partnership with the DBIA, which means we are only hosting our ChamberAM events downtown. If you are a downtown business and would like to host a morning event, we meet the second Tuesday of the month from 8am-9am.  
​      Requirements to host:  

• Have space for 35-50 people with clear sightlines to the speaker 

• Option to provide refreshments (not required)  

Coffee in the County is our County focused morning networking event. This event can be hosted anywhere across the County of Peterborough. It is typically a Wednesday or Thursday morning and runs from 8am-9am.  
​      Requirements to host:  

• Space for 30-40 people with clear sightlines to the speaker  
  

• Option to provide refreshments (not required)  
  

• Must be located in the County of Peterborough (not in the City of Peterborough)  
  

• Parking on site or nearby 
  

Quarterly Events (Varying in capacity from 30-60, with a screen available for presentations)  

• NFP GROUP  
  

• Young Professionals Group

Speaking at an Event

Workshops: ​We have online workshops that we will run occasionally which is a great opportunity for you showcase your knowledge. These are not sales opportunities, but simply speaking on a topic that is an area of expertise for you, and yes, you may get sales out of that, but the opportunity itself is not a sales pitch. If you are interested, you can reach out to [email protected] with what topic you can speak on and we can discuss next steps if it is a fit with a current event or can be done as a virtual or in person workshop.

ChamberAM or Coffee in the County: We love to have a good speaker at our ChamberAM events. This is a more personal story type of speaker. It is a storytelling opportunity to showcase who you are, how you got to where you are and ultimately share advice with your fellow business community. Inspirational, educational, passionate, and in no way a sales pitch.
