​This week we have Devon Girard, the executive director at Community Futures Peterborough. Devon joins our podcast to showcase the role Community Futures plays in supporting local businesses and entrepreneurs.

Joel and Devon delve into the current issues affecting businesses today. Devon shares how “There is a great story of resiliency of those businesses wanting to start and grow in Peterborough”. Devon has witnessed first-hand how businesses navigate economic challenges, and through her work, she assists them in working through these obstacles.

Devon also explains how Community Futures can help entrepreneurs navigate various financial resources. For example, she highlights the new Climate and Environmental Fund, which offers to lend up prime for businesses who invest in reducing their carbon footprint.
