Their goal is to be a leader in the region by developing and supporting the growth and expansion of local business and employment opportunities. They do that by providing flexible financing and business resources to all small businesses in the City and County of Peterborough.

​​New Retail Modernization Project Grant: 

The Ontario Government is investing $2.5 million to provide a flexible grant of up to $5,000 to be matched by businesses adopting new technologies, such as: 
​• Online payment systems
• Inventory management software
• Point of Sale Hardware
• Cybersecurity solutions
• Artificial intelligence
• Customer relationship management tools
• Video cameras for loss prevention

Eligible businesses must: 
  • Be Ontario-based, for-profit retail establishments with a physical storefront.
  • Have been operating for more than one year.
  • Generate at least $100,000 in annual revenue.
  • Employ between 1 and 50 people.

How to Apply:
Applications are open now through the Digitalization Competence Centre (DCC), delivered by the Ontario Centre of Innovation. Funding is available first-come, first-served until the budget is allocated.
