Activity Haven is a senior’s centre that provides a range of social, recreational and educational programs, activities and events for adults (age 50+) and guests. A focus of the centre is to provide a friendly, healthy and caring environment, treating each other with honesty, courtesy and respect.

Formerly the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation and founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph more than 30 years ago, GPHSF, Your Family Health Team Foundation has changed its name but the mission is the same: Supporting patients in the community who rely on expert, compassionate care by raising funds for specialized programs, research, capital equipment, training and continuing medical education for healthcare providers.

Cuddles for Cancer
cuddlesforcancer.ca Faith Dickinson created Cuddles for Cancer when she was 9 years old, after having made her Aunt Lyndi a nice cozy, fleece tie blanket for her while she was going through treatments for breast cancer. Aunt Lyndi told Faith that many cancer patients get VERY cold during their treatments! In the past 5 years, Faith has made over 3,500 Cuddle blankets! They have been sent all across Canada, the United States, England, Germany, France, Brazil, Australia and Africa. Faith is making blankets right now for the Me to We organization, to take to Haiti with their team. Faith is a firm believer that “everyone deserves a cuddle”, so she also makes her Cuddle blankets for people that have other illnesses and diseases, and even for those grieving.

We are one of the first Family Health Teams in Ontario and are deeply rooted into the City and County of Peterborough as your trusted source for family medicine. We provide a team-based approach to patient care through our responsive and caring staff. Our model of care supports family doctors working in the Family Health Organizations (FHO). We are lucky to have almost all of family doctors within the Peterborough city and county working with us. This allows the patient to have access to free mental health and nutrition services, as well as programs, services and workshops for their well-being.
