I am writing to share that with both sadness and gratitude I have accepted Sarah Budd’s resignation from her role as President & CEO of the Peterborough and the Kawarthas Chamber of Commerce effective October 18th. During her two years at the helm of our organization, Sarah led the Chamber team with dedication and enthusiasm. Sarah helped usher in a new era of lobbying, ensuring the concerns of our members were heard by the Ontario and Canadian Chambers, and by our mayor, MPP and MP. I’m pleased to announce Gail Moorhouse will step in as Interim President & CEO, supporting the staff as we prepare for the Business Excellence Awards, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce Annual General Meeting, and an exciting fall of events! Gail is an expert in executive leadership, with a depth of experience managing through change. On behalf of the board, I extend my sincere thanks to Sarah and I wish her continued success in the next chapter of her career. I know the decision to leave the Chamber was a difficult one for her, and we will miss her leadership. I invite you to join me in expressing your thanks by attending the October Chamber AM, Tuesday October 8th at 8:00am at the Vine. Sincerely, Noah Crowley, CPA Board Chair ![]() Did you know that the Province of Ontario has only hit 25% of their construction goals?
